Sweet scones

Makes 6 | 10 minutes preparing | 12 minutes cooking

  • 200g SR flour
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 50g butter
  • 120ml milk
  1. Set oven to 220 degrees celsius
  2. Tip all ingredients into a bowl except and mix (easiest when the butter is soft). Stir in raisins, glace cherries, or another dried fruit if you fancy
  3. Split the dough into 6 neat balls and place on a greased baking tray. Bake for 12 minutes or until browned.




Now for jam recipes

Makes 1 jar | 1 hour cooking

  • 12 ripe plums
  • 200g sugar
  • 300ml water
  • juice of half a lemon
  1. Cut up and de-stone the plums then put them into a pan, adding the lemon juice, sugar and water
  2. Bring to the boil then down to a simmer
  3. After 40 minutes, take of the eat and cool before putting into a jar.
